“Managing money for insurance companies involves much more than managing money.”

Advising insurers is our only business
Asset management for insurance companies is fundamentally different from other institutional portfolio management. You can’t just manage your clients’ portfolios with a one-size-fits-all investment strategy. To succeed, you must craft customized investments that fit each company’s objectives and its requirements for yield, total return, risk and tax exposure. You must support those solutions with specialty services such as accounting, tax modeling and enterprise risk management. And you must provide the information and thought leadership that enable insurance companies to succeed in a changing marketplace.
Our history
Asset Allocation & Management Company, LLC (AAM) is a registered investment advisor with the SEC and was founded in 1982 to provide insurance companies with both the expertise of an independent investment advisor and the practical knowledge of the regulatory and competitive environment in which insurance companies operate. Over nearly three decades, we have built an organization dedicated to meeting insurance company needs, with expertise not just in fixed income investing, but in accounting, tax modeling, asset/liability matching and many other insurance-related disciplines. As of September 30, 2011, we manage $15.59 billion in assets for 99 insurance company clients, across all segments of the industry.
