We are thrilled to announce that our own Stacy Crook, Director of Investment Accounting, has been named to Diversity MBA’s ‘Top 100 under 50 Emerging and Executive Leaders’!

Diversity MBA is a national leadership organization with a focus of integrating diversity and inclusion with talent management. This twelfth annual list represents outstanding achievements in community, leadership, and education. The award recipients must have an advanced degree or certification and are selected from a broad spectrum of companies with a global reach. Diversity MBA notes that this year’s list in particular included a broader global reach and widespread talent recognition than ever before.

“It is an honor to be selected and recognized alongside other talented professionals with similar experiences that have made a tremendous impact on leadership in their companies and communities. A phrase that has influenced my life is, ‘Diversity is the one true thing we have in common, celebrate it everyday.’ I have been fortunate to work with companies and organizations that put diversity at the forefront to witness the empowering and enriching effect on human capital. At AAM, I work with a group of remarkable people and I am proud to be a part of the team.” – Stacy Crook

The list of notable leaders is separated into two categories – emerging leaders and executive leaders. This allows Diversity MBA to recognize both developing and seasoned leaders. Given Stacy’s experience and role at AAM as Director of Investment Accounting, she was included on the latter list. Stacy will be honored and obtain her official award at Diversity MBA’s 12th Annual Elite Business Leaders Conference and Awards Gala this September in Chicago.

Stacy was recognized for her work ethic and commitment to going above and beyond for AAM’s clients and her co-workers alike. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment make an excellent impact in her surrounding work environment and community. There is no challenge that she won’t tackle.

“Stacy embodies dedication and diligence in everything she does, both in the work place and community. Her contribution to AAM over the years has been wonderful,” commented Joseph Borgmann, Chief Financial Officer at AAM.

Stacy’s 12 years at AAM have all been focused within our investment accounting department, and her 23 years of industry experience allow her to contribute to the company with a great deal of knowledge and expertise. As Director, Stacy is responsible for the Investment Accounting Group, which provides accounting and statutory reporting services. Stacy has held several roles with progressive responsibilities at AAM, including Vice President of Investment Accounting. Prior to joining AAM, Stacy worked at Jackson National Life Insurance Company in a variety of positions and as a Senior Accountant at the Northern Trust Company. Stacy is a Lifetime member and Executive Committee member of the National Black MBA Association, Inc. and a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. Stacy earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, MBA in Finance from Roosevelt University and MS in Accounting from Governors State University.

“AAM prides itself on both attracting and cultivating leaders in each role and department. There is immense benefit to seeking out individuals who will look at any given task and not only complete it with enthusiasm and expertise, but who will also look for the ways that they can improve future contributions,” stated AAM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John Schaefer. “Stacy certainly exemplifies this. We are extremely proud of all of Stacy’s accomplishments and celebrate this ‘Top 100’ distinction with her. She is deserving of such recognition.”
